Explore rural history along Roosevelt Trail (Route 302) during this free, self-guided auto or bicycle tour. Visit one, several, or all of the participating museums and historic sites in Westbrook, Windham, Raymond, Casco, Naples, Bridgton, Harrison, and nearby communities. Volunteers will be available to help visitors, and light refreshments will be offered at most locations. Groups are welcome. Participating sites include the Windham Historical Society, Nathaniel Hawthorne’s Boyhood Home, Quaker Ridge Meeting House, Raymond-Casco Historical Society, Naples Historical Society & Museum, Historic Union Church, Bridgton Historical Society, Rufus Porter Museum of Art & Ingenuity, Bridgton & Saco River Railroad Museum, Scribners Mill & Homestead, Harrison Historical Society, and Westbrook Maine Historical Society. The overall tour runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; hours may vary by participating location, so please confirm with individual sites.
