Loon Echo Land Trust is providing special evening access to Hacker’s Hill Preserve so visitors can view the illuminated 9/11 Honor Summit memorial on Mount Washington. Two beams of light will shine from the summit beginning at 8:00 PM each night from September 9 through September 12, commemorating the 25th anniversary of September 11 and honoring those who lost their lives and those who serve their communities.

Hacker’s Hill offers panoramic views toward the White Mountains and across Sebago Lake. The gate will remain open beyond the preserve’s normal dawn-to-dusk hours for this special viewing opportunity. Visibility will depend on weather and atmospheric conditions. Please follow posted parking and preserve guidelines. LELT has not published an exact nightly gate-closing time.
